Winter sports have started! This week we talked to our head boys basketball coach, Coach Hammond, and some of the players.
Coach Hammond told us, “There are a few things that I look forward to each upcoming basketball season. First, the athletes competing. I like to see the athletes take what they have learned in practice and apply it to games. I also like watching an athlete push themselves to a level they didn’t know they could. Second, I like to see my seniors excel and become not only leaders on the floor, but great teammates as well. Two of my players I am looking forward to seeing have a great season would be my senior point guard Clayton Snudden and Sophomore Center, Jordan Mertens. They have both put in numerous hours day in and day out to become better athletes and basketball players.”
We also talked to Senior point guard, Clayton Snudden about the season. “I’m excited and looking forward to the season and playing with my friends.”
Sophomore center, Jordan Mertens, had this to say about the season. “I think we will have a pretty good season. I can’t wait for games to start.”
