“Thank you, Seniors,” chants echoed through the gym on senior night for both the boys and the girls basketball teams. The seniors for girls basketball, boys basketball, and the basketball cheerleaders truly deserved these chants. This week we talked to all the seniors from all three of these programs about their senior night.
Dance Team’s solo senior, Samantha Heimos, said this, “It’s kind of bittersweet. I have so many great memories. It’s really sad but I am ready for what’s to come in my life.”
Basketball cheerleader, Jayde Warren, told us this, “It’s sad knowing that it’s over.”
“There’s going to be a lot of emotions,” Jacob Kern tod us. “I’m glad we all had a memorable last game together.”
Kaleb Bolen said, “It’s kind of sad but I’m ready to move on to college.”
Boys basketball player, Ethan Koch, had this to say, “It’s kind of sad but good because it’s the end of something. Just as something is ending, something new is starting in my life.”
Andrew Downs, a senior basketball player, said this about his senior night, “I’ve been playing basketball my whole life. It’s sad that it’s ending, but I’m ready for the next stage in my life.”
Camren Krodinger says that his senior night is a moment he’s not going to forget. “It’s crazy that it’s over,” he told us.
“It’s sad knowing it’s the last game I’ll play with my friends on this court,” Clayton Snudden told us.
Kaitlynn McGinnety told us this, “I”m sad, but excited. I won’t really think about it until it’s over.”
“I’m excited to play one more night with my girls,” Senior, Emily Smith told us. “It’s sad but I’m glad that we all get to move on to great things.”
Kendall Boyer told us this, “It sucks that it’s my last time playing here, but I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
“I’ll probably cry when it’s over,” Rose Thomas told us. “I’m excited and ready to take the next step after high school.”
Kayli Hartmann had this to say about her senior season, “Stepping onto the court one last time breaks my heart, but I will always cherish the memories and friendships that De Soto has given me.”
