What a crazy, intense, and fun day! Weather was ridiculous all day, but the girls proved how tough they are and focused they were on their goals. They just competed like champions all day. I couldn’t be prouder of their efforts. We outscored projections by 22 points today.
We finished 2nd behind a Cape Notre Dame team that is full of talent and well coached kids. This is our 3rd year in a row taking 2nd place. Our 3rd plaque in a row and 4th as a girls program.
Despite falling just 14 points short of a district title. I am smiling ear to ear as our kids rocked this meet from start to finish.
We had 13 event qualifiers and 5 district champion events on the girls side. This is the most since I have been a coach at De Soto.
